MacBook Redux

I’ve had the machine a week, here’s a few quick thoughts. The hardware has worked flawlessly so far, not a single problem. I suppose that with the Mini and the MacBook Pro, the MacBooks can’t really be called ‘Rev. A Apple Hardware’ and thus don’t carry the stigma. Yippee! The glossy screen is really nice. Colours really are richer and better looking. I’m sitting here with the MacBook and my old CRT side-by-side and the CRT looks dim and washed out by comparison. I need to get an LCD to replace the CRT. Reflection-wise, I haven’t had a problem. I do occasionally see some small reflection when the screen is dark (lots of Terminal session open and such), but it hasn’t been a problem so far. In fact, right now the MacBook has no reflections while the CRT seems to be reflecting up every light source within 100 miles. I really need to get an LCD. Basically, everything is going swimingly and I’d confidently recommend the MacBook to anyone who wants a laptop.
